This year the Foundations Platform F20´s annual Climate Solutions Forum took place in the context of the Indian G20 Presidency. The Climate Solutions Forum 2023 on June 8th hosted by F20 and Dasra and co-hosted by Shakti was held in a hybrid format in Delhi.
The CSF 2023 gathered more than 170 guests on site and 700+ online attendees. The event convened policymakers, researches, businesses, foundations, philanthropists and civil society with talks and panels around the most pressing questions in the context of the upcoming Indian G20 Summit and COP28. By putting a particular focus on resilience and intersectional climate action the event stimulated debate in the G20 process, showcase priorities, challenges and opportunities to help build global momentum.
Our topics further included the global uptake of renewable energy, increasing community resilience and the mobilization of financial ressources. We had a very promising line up of speakers as representatives from politics, science, business, and civil society convened around a highly dense and stimulating programme which provided opportunity to exchange perspectives, find synergies and strengthen cooperation around climate action. With the three different tracks brought together in this event format, our aim was to call upon the G20 to make progress on global rules and undertake tangible and necessary actions that are conducive for sustainable development and a just transition. With the event drawing to a close, F20 was eager to present its annual F20 Recommendations to the G20 Heads of State.
