Yamide Dagnet has two decades of experience advancing climate justice and environmental objectives across regions and sectors. The Ecologist named Dagnet among the 25 Most Influential Women Climate Leaders in 2019. She now leads Open Society Foundation’s new Climate Justice Program. She previously advised the NDC Partnership on strategy and led climate negotiations at World Resources Institute. A noted expert in equitable implementation of the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Dagnet is a former UK policy lead and UNFCCC negotiator, and France’s focal point for the EU neighborhood policy and twinning program. She recently co-founded Allied for Climate Transformation by 2025, a consortium that amplifies the voice and priorities of vulnerable countries and communities to improve UN climate negotiations.
