About
Celine joined the International Foundations Platform F20 in November 2023, taking on the role of Project Manager for Advocacy and Convening. She studied Public Governance across Borders and Global Sustainability Science in Germany, the Netherlands and the USA, focusing on socio-ecological transformations and nature-community relations. Prior to her work at F20, Celine contributed to a research project on migration in local settings, published work on digital tools for political education and mobilization, and gained experience in sustainability as well as policy consulting.
Prevailing views in the “Global North” often see humans as separate and in control of nature. I believe that our societies must reconsider the social process that led us to a world where extractive practices are commonplace, if we truly care about the Earth and its inhabitants. For me, it is crucial to embrace a worldview that nurtures kinship and reciprocity with both nature and our communities. F20 can help to strengthen cross-sector partnerships that encourage such paradigm shifts and drive joint action in the spirit of the 2030 Agenda.
