26-27 January – Brazilian Climate Finance Forum
On 26 and 27 February 2024, the F20 Team had the unique opportunity to participate in the Brazilian Forum on Climate Finance in São Paulo, jointly organized by the Arapyaú Institute, the AYA Institute, the Climate and Society Institute (iCS), the Igarapé Institute, the Itaúsa Institute, the Open Society Foundations and Uma Concertação pela Amazônia.

26 March – F20 Exclusive Partners Call with Ana Toni, National Secretary for Climate Change in Brazil 
On 26th of March 2024, F20 organised a call featuring Ana Toni, Brazil’s National Secretary for Climate Change, under the theme of “Challenges and Opportunities for Climate Action during the Brazilian G20 Presidency”. F20 members had the opportunity to engange with the Brazilian G20 Presidency while the conversation focused on Ana Toni’s three key calls to action for philanthropy: Advocating for more ambitious Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), aligning the financial system with the 1.5-degree goal & reimagining an education system that empowers future generations with the necessary skills to flourish in a 1.5-degree world. Attendees underscored the imperative of integrating climate action into overarching development strategies and delved into methods for mobilizing private financing. Conversations spanned from ambitious NDCs to tackling air pollution and promoting sustainable consumption patterns. Ana Toni offered invaluable insights into the aim of interlinking climate and poverty issues, illustrating a commendable example of concerted efforts toward a sustainable and fair future.
04-06 June – F20 Climate Solutions Forum 
The annual F20 flagship event – the Climate Solutions Forum –took in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil from 4 – 6 June 2024. This year’s Climate Solutions Forum took place in the context of the Brazilian G20 Presidency under the theme “Accountability in Action – Building bridges for North and South Partnerships”. The event was organized and hosted by the Foundations Platform F20, the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS), Fundación Avina & Group of Institutes, Foundations and Companies (GIFE).
