On the 6th of May 2025, F20 organised a call featuring Lucca Rizzo, Specialist in Climate Finance at the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) in Brazil, and Dr. Crispian Olver, Deputy Chair of the South African Presidential Climate Commission, under the theme ‘Country Platforms as Catalysts for Climate Action: Brazil and South Africa Lead the Way’.
This call gave F20 members the chance to examine the Country Platform approach and how it can be used effectively in mobilisation of climate action. This conversation between representatives from Brazil and South Africa, as key points of the G20 transition in 2025, provided a chance for F20 members to engage directly with country platform experts, and to understand the ways in which philanthropy can engage and support actions in the Global South throughout the year.
